Godly Derision and Wrath |
As Christians, we weep for those who cannot see; but stand strong, brothers and sisters, it is always darkest before the dawn and when the Son, the Lord Jesus breaks onto the scene, all darkness will be vanquished and order will return to this earth. Until that time, and as long as the Lord gives us breath, we will continue to be here to spread the truth found in His Word seeking to save some as we now live in a land with a spirit of 'Jezebel' [Galatians 6:7; 1 Kings 19:1]. |
Those who are not sure of their eternal destinity with God only needs to repent of their sin and call upon the name of the Savior Jesus Christ to save them. It really is a simple faith. Anyone who admits he is a sinner, and trusts in the shed blood of Christ as payment in full for his sins, will find comfort and solace in his soul and spririt. But those who persist in their staunch opposition to all things Christ will be held fully accountable before a Holy God whose judgment will be swift and sure. One hour twenty-six minute video here |
Warning: Americans Should Prepare
Six Biblical Woes If They Don't Repent
***
The word 'woe' appears in scripture 106 times ...
10-17-19, * -- In a day where false alarms, exaggerated warnings & scare tactics are used by a deceptive culture, it's often difficult to separate true warnings from false alarms. How can people; believers & non believers alike, differentiate between the two? Old Testament “woes” & warnings directed toward Israel have timely significance for today’s America. The similarities of the six woes in Isaiah 5:8-21 & how they relate to current day America are astounding. [Matthew 15:8] The word ‘woe’ appears in the Bible 106 times in 98 verses. [1] Spoken by Christ & Old Testament prophets; also eight times in the Book of Revelation in final judgment:
- Rev 8:13 Apostle John’s vision: “I beheld & heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth …!”
- Rev 9:12 “One woe is past & behold there come two woes more...”
- Rev 11:14 “The second woe is past & behold the third woe cometh quickly.”
- Rev 12:12 “Therefore …Woe to the inhabiters of the earth & of the sea! the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
- Materialism. After God blessed the nation with security, wealth, houses & productive land, the people turned their back on Him. The result? God withheld His blessings, removed His protection, allowed rebellion within & threats of attack from without. Isaiah 5:8-9
- Hedonism. Consumed with an intoxicating addiction to alcohol, drugs, entertainment & partying, the nation willfully rejected God & the consequences of evil choices. Isaiah 5:11
- Moral Relativism. Dangerous when a nation redefines moral truth as moral evil [Isaiah 5:20]. The Ten Commandments has been discarded; killing the unborn through abortion, immoral sex, redefining marriage allowing same sex marriage & more. Isaiah 5:14
- Corrupted Leadership. Political & military leaders who through addiction become bribed & incapable of sound judgment. Isaiah 5:15
- Promotion of Sin & Evil. No regard for God or moral truth; they dreamed of evil, behavied without remorse & even belittled God by profaning His Name & Truth. Isaiah 5:18
- Arrogance & Corruption. God hates pride because it embodies the sin of satanic defiance against God; pronouncing themselves to be God resulting in the rejection of God. Isaiah 5:21
While God is full of love & mercy; His righteousness & justice will prevail. When He warns, we'd better listen because time will eventually run out; it's past time to look to God, repent & beg His mercy. ‘Today is the day of redemption!’ 2 Corinthians 6:2
Will the wicked God haters in America heed His warnings?
Will they claim ignorance & say “we were never warned?”
God has repeatedly warned. Ezekiel 33:6; Revelation 20:15

President Trump's Syrian Withdrawal Fallout
The US President is cleverly seeing to it that Russia needs Israel to keep Iran at bay - or lose Syria to the Iranian octopus. Turkey might actually realize the truth that the Kurds are Erdogan's greatest natural ally against Iran and ISIS and the Arabs better learn to fight their own war.
- President Trump isn’t “gifting” Putin a “Christmas present,” but rather is hanging a deadly Syrian Albatross on Putin’s neck. Putin is now hopelessly up a Syrian creek without a paddle. Without American forces east of the Euphrates and American dollars helping Syrian reconstruction, Putin faces an Iranian victory in Syria, and a Russian loss. In fact, Russian rapprochement with Israel is a direct result of American withdrawal. Now, Russia has only Israel to help keep Iran’s gobbling up of Syria in check. If Putin looks to Turkey to check Iran, the unacceptably high payment will be Turkish ownership of Northern Syria.
- President Trump told all the the Arabs in Iraq and Saudi Arabia: Either fight Iran yourselves and pay for the fight yourselves, or bow as slaves to your new Persian masters. America can’t afford either the money or the blood to fight the Arab war of liberation against the Persian colonialist Iran. The training wheels are off. America will help at the edges, but the fight has to be an Arab fight.
- President Trump’s message to the Pentagon is: You can spend hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars in a year fighting and dying in foreign wars, but you can’t afford to or are legally barred from physically defending the American border, or pay for a defensive wall to slow the migrant invasions? Charity and defense begins at home. If America’s home base isn’t secure, nothing is secure. To make matters worse, the Pentagon just “missed” an “accounting error” consisting of spending 331 million dollars paying for Saudi refueling over Yemen, but nobody at DOD can find a single penny to pay for the wall?
- President Trump’s message to the world is: America can’t afford to protect you anymore. President Trump, the businessman, is looking at the total American budget, the deficit and America’s debt, and concluded: A bankrupt “world policeman,” is a defeated America that can’t defend itself or anyone else. America’s current military projection is financially unsustainable. The world had better quickly budget for its own defense.
- President Trump’s message to Turkey is: You’ve told me ISIS is defeated, America’s allies are terrorists, and you were going to attack American forces in Syria; well, goodbye and good luck. Trump didn’t believe a word Erdogan said, but Trump believed his intelligence that Turkey, an alleged NATO ally, was scheming with Russia behind America’s back on Syria. Erdogan will now have to deal with the Kurds, Russia, ISIS and Iran all by himself. Have fun. Without America propping up the Kurds, Turkey might actually realize the truth that the Kurds are Turkey’s greatest natural ally against Iran and ISIS.
- Israel better realize that relying on a Trump “Peace” deal is a huge mistake. Syria isn’t just Iran’s pathway to Lebanon, but to any "West Bank" Palestinian Arab State. Israel better quickly solidify its hold of the "West Bank" because the next American President (either sooner or later) will likely be an Israel-hating BDS [boycott] supporting Democrat who will overtly call Israel an Apartheid State. [John Kerry under Obama already called Israel an apartheid state.]

Personal Responsibility
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.”
10-17-19, Moody Bible Inst* -- God’s word gives clear and easy to understand laws directing human’s behaviors. These are the laws that Joshua commanded the Israelites:
“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.” (Joshua 1:8)
- Limits to indentured servants, a form of slavery in that day often resulting from debt or war (Exodus 21:2–11). While in some ways slaves were considered property, it’s clear here that they possessed rights and were considered persons within the justice system. A slave could even choose to stay with his master for life, a relationship which would provide food, shelter and stability.
- Justice should be done in cases of personal injury (Exodus 21:12–36). One factor was outcome, with human death being the most serious (see Gen. 9:6). Intention — only someone who had killed a person unintentionally could flee to a city of refuge.
- Relationship—the death penalty was invoked in cases of attacking one’s parents. (Exodus 20:12, 21:15)
- The Law describes justice in a manner known as lex talionis, that is, “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.” (Exodus 21:23–25)
However, we must separate righteous objection to personal emotional anger. Clearly the Lord Jesus displayed His ‘righteous anger’ when He went into the Temple finding corruption – He chased out the wicked with a whip upending tables as He went! (Matt 21:12-13; Mark 11:15-19; Luke 19:45-48; John 2:13-16) May we have discretion as we serve the Lord distinguishing between the two.

The Blessed Hope of All Christians
The Call and Return of Jesus Christ
"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that Blessed Hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, exhort and rebuke with all authority."

At Notre Dame Law School in the US Attorney General Wm Barr's Speech, he contends that many of society’s ills are caused because of the breakdown of religion in society. He said:
"This is not decay. This is organized destruction. Secular forces and their allies have marshaled all the forces of mass communication, popular culture, the entertainment industry, and academia, in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values.”

Excerpt of what he said:
“Among the militant secularists are many so-called progressives; but where is the progress? We are told we are living in a post-Christian era, but what has replaced the Judeo-Christian moral system? What is it that can fill the spiritual void in the hearts of the individual person? And what is the system of values that can sustain human social life?” [Full speech here]

God’s View of Christian’s Self Defense
“Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them out of the hand of the wicked. V19 Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”
10-14-19, Is it right to employ lethal force to protect the life of yourself and others or is it right to take measures that might kill an attacker who is wrongfully threatening your life or the life of another? Yes, but self-defense is not:
- about taking vengeance
- about punishing criminals
- about wartime
Based on God's word precepts; we have a Biblical obligation to preserve life. Our bodies belong to God we are His property and so we are not permitted to treat or destroy them as we please. Not only are we to take care of our bodies and the life contained; we have an obligation to preserve the body and life of others. [Ezekiel 33:6; Psalm 82:4] If you know danger is coming to others, and you deliberately fail to warn the others of the danger, you are guilty of harming the victims. This is not to say that you can make people heed your warning; but we are responsible if we do not warn them. If someone breaks into our home at night and we kill him, we are not held guilty of murder. [Exodus 22:2-3]
When the Israelites were sent back from captivity to rebuild Jerusalem, they were rebuilding their lives with the sanction of the civil ruler, King Artaxerxes. This was not a wartime scenario; it was closer to a racial integration scenario where racists wanted to kill them. They were justified to defend themselves. [Nehemiah 4:8-9, 10-23] They carried their weapons with them, as many people legally carry weapons with them today, for the purpose of self-protection. [Nehemiah 4:17] Those who were rebuilding the Jerusalem wall and those who carried burdens took their load with one hand doing the work and the other holding a weapon.
In the book of Esther we have a historical example arranged by Divine Providence when the Jews are under threat of racial violence. The civil authority, King Ahasuerus, granted them legal permission to use lethal force in self-defense. [Esther 8:11-12, 9:1-5] We see that given legal sanction to "protect their lives," they used the "sword." (Exther 8:5, 11)
Many may be thinking this is only relegated to Old Testament principles. Not so … the Lord Jesus told His apostles to buy a sword. [Luke 22:35-39] Jesus expected them to have swords and anticipated a time when those without swords would need to acquire them for protection. It is difficult to make absolute claims beyond these observations, but the observations themselves have significance. Namely, among those closest to Jesus, some carried personal weapons in His presence with His consent. However, in ‘The Garden of Gethsemane’ [Luke 22:49-53; Matthew 26:51-56; John 18:10-11] Jesus is saying [paraphrase], "Though we have a right to employ our swords in defense of this unrighteous arrest, we are intentionally putting aside our lawful right, and I am allowing Myself to be taken without resistance."
Why Christ tells Peter to put up the sword: Christ is willingly laying down His life to save mankind of their sin. Although He had the right to use sword and angelic legions to deliver Himself from this unjust arrest (Luke 22:51, John 18:11) He did not.
Believers should be conscious that personal self-defense weapons are legitimatized by the Scriptures, just as the use of any other tool such as cooking, carpentry, electronics, plumbing, etc. Though heavenly beings do battle and render judgments with the sword, in the perfection pictured in both the garden of Eden [Genesis 3:22-24] and in the Heavenly city [Revelation 21:1-2, 3-8], all who honor and worship almighty God know our primary activities are fellowship with the Lord, other believers and living in peace.
God said, “If the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and a sword comes and takes a person from them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require from the watchman's hand."
Ezekiel 33:6

End Times: Decisions, Decisions
***
God said, "Hear, O earth, the words of My mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, My speech shall distil as the dew...because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He. They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of His children: they are a perverse and crooked generation."

Six states: New York, Oregon, Vermont, Colorado, New Hampshire and the District of Columbia.

9-20-19, AOL.com -- Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kansas and Oklahoma] have declared it legal for women to appear in public with their chest bared. Apparently the issue was brought to court in Colorado in 2017 ... certain women want the same freedom men have to go without a shirt. According to ruling by the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals the decision finds it unconstitutional to prevent women to be naked as a man. Since the 10th Circuit encompasses six states - the decision makes it now illegal for any town in those six states to forbid women to appear in public baring their chests.

Feast of Tabernacles
Also known as Sukkot or Feast of Booths. This year is celebrated from October 13, 2019 to October 20, 2019 it’s the 15th day in the Jewish calendar’s first month of Tishrei.
"Also you shall observe the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your labors from the field."
10-11-19, * -- The Feast of Tabernacles [like all the feasts] is commanded by the Lord God; one of the three feasts that Jews were to observe by going to “appear before the Lord your God in the place which He shall choose.” (Deuteronomy 16:16)
The importance of the Feast of Tabernacles can be seen in how many places it is mentioned in Scripture: Ezra 3:4; Exodus 23:14-16, 34:22-23; Deuteronomy 16:13; 1 Kings 8:2; Nehemiah 8:13-18.
The annual commemoration is a way of reminding Israelites in every generation of God's deliverance. At the time the fall harvest, it’s a time of joyous celebration as the Israelites celebrate God’s continued provision and protection.
It begins and ends with a special Sabbath day of rest. During the days of the feast all native Israelites were “to dwell in booths” to remind them that God delivered them out of the “land of Egypt” as they wandered in the wilderness 40 years.
The same holds true for today's Christians. God protects us and provides for us as we go through life in the wilderness of this world. While our hearts long for the Promised Land (heaven) and to be in the presence of God as we pray, watch and pray for Messiah Jesus' second coming.
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'On the fifteenth of this seventh month is the Feast of Booths for seven days to the LORD.” Leviticus 23:33-34, 35-44

We Ask Ourselves, 'What would Jesus do?'
Righteous anger and action was in His playbook!
"The Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: He had made a scourge of small cords whip and drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables. He said unto them that sold doves, "Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise."
10-10-19, We know the song 'I want to be more like Jesus' ... too often born again Christians think they must be mild and weak never becoming angry. Oh, but there are times when righteous anger is called for. Like the time the Lord Jesus became angry when He found 'money changers' in the Temple. The corrupt "money changers" were cheating and oppressing the people who came to pay homage to the living God.
He physically threw them out with a whip throwing over their tables; clearly He was no sissy!
Everything Beautiful in His Time
Enjoy Good of Labor; Gift From God
King Solomon wrote: “The Lord God made everything beautiful in His time: also He has set the world in their heart, so that no person can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God. I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it.”
10-9-19, * -- God has painted time with changes; it’s a kaleidoscopic of movement of innumerable processes that will be seen in the end as it's “beautiful in His time.” It may look a mess up close, just as putting your face too near a big painting will distort the view; stepping back puts it in better perspective. One day we will step back, look at the finished canvas of God’s perfect creation and maybe understand.
For those of us who have eternity in our hearts enjoying the fruits of our labor have received the gift of God. (Ecclesiastes 3:12). It is the grace of God that enables us to leave the explanations of the hows & whys of God’s eternal plan till heaven. This faith [Matthew 17:20] will help us to understand that God will do us good all our lives. [Jeremiah 29:11]

President Trump's Turkey Syria Decision
Advances Prophecy Clock
"Behold, an he goat [Turkey] came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes. And he came to the ram [Iran] that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power. And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven."
10-8-19, Bill Wilson -- President Donald Trump's agreement to allow Turkey to invade Northern Syria endangers the lives of Kurdish allies, Christians in the area, and advances the prophecy clock. This is a foreign policy decision where withdrawing American troops in the area could very well allow the mass genocide of Kurds who loyally supported the US in the fight against ISIS. Turkey long has wanted to attack the Kurds in Syria, which Turkish dictator "president" Recep Tayyip Erdogan believes pose a threat to Turkey's national security. Iran [aka Persia] also seeks to control the Kurds. This foreign policy decision by the US president has the makings of converging Iran and Turkey into a conflict that has massive end-time implications. [Col Douglas MacGregor [retired] Agrees that Turkey & Iran will be at 'loggerheads']
According to sources with knowledge of the situation, Iran has made incredible advances toward controlling the Middle East in Syria, Iraq, Kurdistan, and Lebanon. In Daniel 8:19, Gabriel says, "Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be. The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia. And the rough goat is the king of Grecia." Strong's Concordance interprets the word "Grecia" in Hebrew as "Yavan, a son of Japheth (the third son of Noah), his descendants and their land." The Genesis 10:2 table of nations indicates this area was not only Greece (as Bible interpretations imply), but also the Eastern Mediterranean, including parts of modern Turkey (Magog, Tubal, Meshech). The ram would correspond with modern Iran. [Daniel 8:5-8, 11:2-4]
Turkey also has been making moves to cement power over the Middle East. In January, 2019, after the US announced it was pulling out of Syria, Erdogan met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Russia supports Iran. Syria is a vassal state of Iran. A 1998 agreement between Russia and Turkey, according to Bloomberg, "states that Syria won't permit any activity on its territory that would jeopardize Turkey's security." Russia's President Putin was leveraging the 1998 agreement to say that Syria will take care of the Kurds in Syrian territory, hoping that Turkey will restore ties with Syria. Prophecy will eventually bring clarity to this complex situation, and it appears that the US president Trump is accelerating that clarity.
*** "Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia. 3And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will. 4And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven; and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those." Harvest Bible Chapel [HBC] Naples Florida Pastor John Secrest Fired
1-20-19, ChristianPost -- Pastor John Secrest of Harvest Bible Chapel's location in Naples, Florida has been fired because he disagreed with the decision that the Chicago-based HBC elders made recently with the announcement that MacDonald would be taking an indefinite sabbatical amid scrutiny of the church yet would preach occasionally at HBC-Naples. Secrest wrote the elders, asking them to reverse this decision but they refused. The Naples site was originally planted in 2016 as an independent church, but partnered with Harvest Chicago in February of 2018, becoming its eighth location. Secrest requested that the Florida church return to local autonomy, ending the partnership agreement; he maintained he was unaware of a lengthy investigation into HBC regarding the alleged abusive behavior of MacDonald, a culture of fear and intimidation at the church, and suspicious untoward financial activities.

In Mark 15:2, Jesus confirms to Pilate that he is the King of the Jews and says nothing further. In John 18:34, he hints that the King accusation did not originate with Pilate but with "others" and, in John 18:36, he states: "My kingdom is not of this world".

Autumn is the season of the harvest. Jesus is the Lord of the 'harvest of souls.' Matthew 9:38
